User Story
As an engaged member of the 10KTF community, I want my crafted gear and purchases to hold real value by being woven directly into the gameplay, so I can build my character, influence the evolving story, and feel like an active participant in the 10KTF narrative—not just a spectator.
Context
10KTF offered a story-driven experience that captivated our community, allowing them to craft derivative NFTs based on their PFPs, including digital clothing and fantastical weapons. However, there was a need for an experience that added value by enabling players to create loadouts from their unique 10KTF gear to participate in missions they felt directly involved in. This led to the creation of Battle.town.
We  designed a system where:
  • Players can link their blockchain wallets to use their 10KTF-crafted NFT gear in Battle.town.
  • Integrate social media channels to keep players engaged.
  • Engaging in the game and community boosts reward opportunities.
Goals
  • Acknowledge and reward the dedication and loyalty of our fans who have invested in our world and supported our product.
  • Establish future opportunities and strategic partnerships to generate additional revenue streams
  • Boost excitement and community engagement by hosting events and discussions that encourage players to share theories and predictions about the game's future, fostering anticipation and involvement.
As Head of Design, I led a small team of designers and collaborated with engineering and product teams to craft an experience for our Web3 community that is rooted in the whimsical 10KTF lore. We aimed to deliver a fun, immersive, themed interface that gamers expect from top-tier web experiences, ensuring seamless integration with the main shop at 10KTF.com and social platforms like Discord and X.

One of the most memorable and proudest moments of my career was creatively directing a live event for our community. We themed the event with immersive activations and brought my vision of Wagmi-san's webshop to life, complete with a fully functional dialogue box.

Engaging with the community and forming mission teams with top players was crucial for earning the most points after each timed mission. The community had a collective target that needed to be met for the story to progress positively.

The Baby Kaiju main classes were fully unveiled after months of anticipation. Players participated in Battle.town to gather points, with the goal of acquiring the most exclusive avatars from a set of 10,000 distinct procedurally generated characters.
